International's Women's day

8th march of every year is celebrated as International Women's day in the world.On this people appreciate and congrats the whole Womanhood for their contribution in various fields such as politics,social work,corporate sector and Culture.In some countries public holiday has been reserved for this very date. International Women's day finds its roots in Russia.For the first time the day was observed in 1909.Though,there may be other views that it was stare in 1911.It is not easy to be specific about the first IWD but the reason behind this ,can easily be figured out.During the second decade of the last century,the condition of women was very pathetic due to industrlisation.so, some people took the responsibility to raise voice to bring positive change in the bad state of women.In the year of 2010,the IWD has been devoted for the displaced women due to military activities ,especially in the South Asia ans middle east.It is a very well known fact that military actions caused lot of problems for women in terms of rapes, murder,sexual violence and security problems.Keeping this things in mind International committee of Recross has decided that they will try to make people aware of negative impact on women due to displacement. it is normally celebrated in different manner in different parts of the world.But in present era,IWD has lost its magnetism and have reduced to a day or you can say platform where men come and express their high thoughts for the womanhood.especially ,In India women are struggling to get a meaningful status.The result is in front of us as We have produced Kalpana Chawla,Kiran Bedi,mother taresa and Sonia Gandhi.It is matter of joy that two prestigious offices are headed by female personalities,first of all we have our first citizen a lady named Mrs.Partibha devi Patil and,secondly,the Speaker of Lok Sabha is Meera kumar.Today we have constant increasing numbers of women in corporate sector who are posing examples in front of the whole world.Indira Nooyi,an India lady is the CEO of Pepsico Company,Kiran Mazoomdar Shaw ,the founder and chairperson of Biocon,Sunita narayan An environmentalist are few of them.On the other hand we are facing a threat in terms of female foeticide ,especially in Haryana and Punjab ,the two most prosper state of India.Even the capital Of India is not safe for women. I hope the years to come will bring positive vibes and we will be able to provide more comfortable and dignified lives to our female counterparts.
